Oatmeal Cleansing Balm
Did you know that oil attracts oil?
If you’ve ever ended up with a face that feels dry and tight after washing it then a cleansing balm may be a perfect choice for you. So, what exactly is a cleansing balm? It’s a creamy, oil based cleanser that does double duty - provides a deep cleaning and restores your complexions moisture balance. It’s a gentle, but thorough, method of cleansing that leaves your skin clean and free of excess oil. I love to play with textures and a cleansing balm delivers.. as it starts out as a very decadent and dense rich cream and turns to a very silky liquid oil when in contact with your skin. You use it exactly as you would any other facial cleanser, morning and night.
The benefits certainly can’t be denied:
🦉perfect for dehydrated skin
🦉won’t strip your skin, in turn, irritating the acid mantle and promoting excess oil production
🦉absolutely stellar at make-up removal due to the high oil content.. without pulling and tugging at delicate skin (think mascara and eyes!)
🦉nourishing enough that you may be able to skip the whole moisturizing step all together - yes I said it! Make up remover, cleanser and serum all in one!
🦉can include a plethora of other ingredients like anti-oxidants for even more skincare benefits (hint, oatmeal and clay!)
🦉rinses clean leaving no residue
Until then.. I’m pretty excited to finally show ya’ll the first cleansing balm (one of many) that I will be offering.. as I’ve had quite a few requests lately I’ve formulated a cleansing balm that is suitable for all skin types yet is perfect for sensitive skin! If you’re familiar with the benefits of colloidal oatmeal and clay you’ll know what I’m talking about! Anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits.. if you’ve never tried a cleansing balm.. maybe now is the time! If you struggle with oily skin.. don’t be afraid.. an oil based cleansing balm just isn’t for those with dry skin.. especially with detoxifying clays and oatmeal! I’ll elaborate more on that in my blog later this week (remember, oily skinned girl here!). If you have any questions.. I’d love to help!
